About this seek and find sheet

Unlike the other seek and find sheets, the Oopsies here overlap like a pile of cuddly toys, so each one is partly hidden by its neighbors. To find the four in the box, a child has to pick out a face from a busy, overlapping background and recognize it from the part that shows. The generator checks that each Oopsie to find stays at least two-thirds visible.

Tips for parents and teachers

Ask your child to trace the outline of an Oopsie with a finger before circling it: where does it end, and where does the next one start?
Point out the clues that stay visible: glasses, a mustache, the color of the top of the head.
Pair it with the Peekaboo sheets, which also ask children to recognize an Oopsie from a part.

The skill it trains: figure-ground

Figure-ground perception is the ability to pick out one thing (the figure) from a busy background (the ground) and keep your attention on it. Finding a friend in a crowd, a word on a full page or one Lego brick in the box all rely on it.
