Foggy Window Game: Wipe to Reveal
The window is all fogged up, and the Oopsies are on the other side. Wipe the glass to see who's there, but be quick: the fog comes back. Foggy Window is a wipe-to-reveal world of Oopsies, a free seek-and-find game, and you can play two of its levels right here.
Free, nothing to download. Tap Find to start: the timer runs, and a wrong Oopsie adds 10 seconds, like in the app.
How the foggy window game works
The start screen shows the Oopsie to find. Behind the fog, you can only guess at blurry shapes. Rub the window to clear a patch, look, and keep wiping until you spot the right one.
- Drag your finger to wipe the glass (on this page, move the mouse). The wiped patch has a frosty, uneven edge.
- The fog comes back. A clear patch stays clear for a moment, then slowly mists over again.
- Tap an Oopsie you can see to check it. Tapping the fog just wipes it, with no penalty.
- When you find the right Oopsie, the whole window clears up.
- Later levels bring more Oopsies, a smaller sponge and thicker fog. Level 5, the second level above, is the surprise: the fog comes back very fast.
What Foggy Window trains
Because the fog keeps coming back, you have to remember what you saw and where: "the orange one with glasses was bottom left". That's visual memory, holding a picture in your head after it's gone.
Through the mist, you also learn to recognize Oopsies from blurry or partial glimpses, which is visual closure.

Tips for parents
- Wipe in lines. Big sweeps from one side to the other clear more glass than small circles.
- Say where you've looked. "Not on the left." It helps kids keep track when the fog erases the view.
- Try it on a real window. On a cold morning, breathe on the glass, draw a shape, and watch it fade.
- Fun for little hands. Wiping is easy even for young players, and tapping the fog is never punished.
The Foggy Window cards
Each level of Foggy Window frees one Oopsie, and every Oopsie you free becomes a collector card in the app. Here are the cards of this world, the same as in the game. Point at a card, or drag it, to tilt it.
Good to know
- Free, for real. No ads, no in-app purchases, nothing to unlock with money.
- Rated 4+ on the App Store. Simple enough for preschoolers, tricky enough for grown-ups in later levels.
- iPhone, iPad, Mac (M1 or later) and Apple Vision Pro.
- Works in airplane mode. Levels play offline; progress and leaderboard times sync when you're back online.
- Rather no timer? The stopwatch button on the app's home screen hides the timer and the "+10 s" for a wrong Oopsie.
