Find the Twins: A Matching Pairs Game
Two Oopsies are exactly the same. Everyone else is different. Find the pair. Double Trouble is a matching game from Oopsies, a free seek-and-find game for iPhone and iPad, and you can play two of its levels in your browser.
Free, nothing to download. Tap Find to start: the timer runs, and a wrong Oopsie adds 10 seconds, like in the app.
How to play Find the Twins
This time, nobody tells you who to look for. There's no picture on the start screen, just two cards face down: the twins are hiding in the crowd, and you have to spot them by comparing.
- Tap an Oopsie to pick it. It gets a yellow ring.
- Tap its twin to complete the pair. Tap the same Oopsie again to change your mind.
- Two Oopsies that don't match both wiggle, and it costs 10 seconds.
- Stuck for 30 seconds? One of the twins starts to glow.
- Level 1 puts the twins side by side. Level 2 pulls them apart.
- Level 3 turns one twin to the side: same Oopsie, different pose. That's the second level above.
- Later levels add "cousins" that share the twins' color and glasses, a big and a little twin, two pairs to find, and then three.
It's like a matching pairs game, except nothing is face down: everything is in plain sight, and that makes it surprisingly hard.
What Double Trouble trains
Finding two identical pictures among similar ones is visual discrimination at its purest: comparing details until you're sure two things are the same, or not. It's the skill children use to match letters, numbers and shapes.
When one twin is turned or bigger than the other, kids also need form constancy: seeing that a shape stays the same, whatever way it's facing.

Tips for parents
- Start with one. Pick any Oopsie and look for its twin. If there isn't one, move on to the next. It turns a fuzzy search into a simple routine.
- Compare one detail at a time. Same color? Same glasses? Same mouth? Kids often stop at the color.
- Play it with socks. A basket of clean socks is a twins game too, and it gets the laundry done.
- Good for two players. One finds the first twin, the other has to find its match.
The Double Trouble cards
Each level of Double Trouble frees one Oopsie, and every Oopsie you free becomes a collector card in the app. Here are the cards of this world, the same as in the game. Point at a card, or drag it, to tilt it.
Good to know
- Free, for real. No ads, no in-app purchases, nothing to unlock with money.
- Rated 4+ on the App Store. Simple enough for preschoolers, tricky enough for grown-ups in later levels.
- iPhone, iPad, Mac (M1 or later) and Apple Vision Pro.
- Works in airplane mode. Levels play offline; progress and leaderboard times sync when you're back online.
- Rather no timer? The stopwatch button on the app's home screen hides the timer and the "+10 s" for a wrong Oopsie.
